Wiley Open Access Agreement from Dahlgren Memorial Library
Posted in Announcements
Dahlgren Memorial Library, the Graduate Health & Life Sciences Research Library at GUMC, is pleased to announce a new agreement with the publisher Wiley that provides subsidized open access Article Publication Charges (APC) to the GUMC community. To benefit from the new agreement, corresponding authors must be currently affiliated with Georgetown University Medical Center and have authored primary research or review articles, including but not limited to original articles, case studies, reviews or short communications. Articles must either be accepted for publication in a Wiley hybrid journal or be submitted to a Wiley fully open access (GOLD) or Hindawi journal on or from 1 January 2023 onwards. There is a limited number of articles available for subsidy each year and as such, authors with eligible grant funds are requested to use those funds for APCs in order to provide the subsidy to authors without funding.
In addition to the open access support, this agreement expands access to Wiley journal content and brings the number of Wiley and Hindawi journals available to the GUMC community from 300 to over 1,300. This new journal access will be reflected in the DML Journal Finder, Citation Matcher and the Lean Library browser extension.
