DML Operating Status – June 8, 2021

UPDATE:

Starting on June 8, 2021,  GUMC students will be able to reserve seats at DML for 7.5 hours.   There will no longer be  3.5 hour blocks for reservations and there is no longer the requirement to leave DML from 11:30 – Noon.

The other reservation policies remain in place –  including the mask requirement and the requirement to place reservations 12 hours in advance.   Please visit the reservation system for more information https://rooms.dml.georgetown.edu/

Starting February 1, Biomedical Graduate Education and School of Medicine students, and graduate students at the School of Nursing & Health Studies, will have access to study spaces in the Dahlgren Memorial Library. The Information Services Desk, copying, printing, scanning and print materials are unavailable. Workshops, reference and research consultations and over 12,000 online resources remain virtual to support the  learning, research and clinical endeavors of the community.

Study spaces must be reserved and are for individual use only (i.e., no group studying is permitted). Before coming to campus, students must be in compliance with the University’s public health protocols including COVID-19 testing.  To access the library, patrons will be asked to present their green GU360 badge along with their reservation confirmation email to verify the reservations in the system. Strict compliance with public health mandates will be required: masks worn at all times while in DML, no eating, no drinking, observing social distance guidelines, and you must use the table/seat assigned for contact tracing. Thank you for your cooperation.

GUMC students can visit the reservation system (https://rooms.dml.georgetown.edu/) to browse available hours and reserve a study space. Study spaces will not appear in the reservation system until January 31. Study time is limited to 3.5 hours (consecutive booking not permitted) per day (either 8a-11:30a or 12p-3:30p) and must be booked 12 hours in advance. Reservations may not be made at the door.
