Stepping into the Patient’s Shoes: DML’s Meghan Hupe Explores Virtual Reality Empathy Training in New Publication
Posted in Announcements
Meghan Hupe, DML’s Director of Information & Delivery Services, published a review of Embodied Labs in a recent issue of the Journal of Electronic Resources in Medical Libraries. Embodied Labs is a VR platform that puts users into a patient’s perspective, allowing them to see, hear, and experience navigating aging and complex medical conditions. Hupe’s review looks at how the tool can be curated and delivered in academic medical library settings, with practical notes for librarians integrating immersive tech into health sciences curricula.
