DML is looking to hire a student for a library assistant, building operations for the Spring 2026 semester. Students must be enrolled at GU full time and able to work a set schedule throughout the semester.
Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the Student Library Assistant, Building Operations is to assist the Access Services Librarian. The Student Library Assistant, Building Operations will inspect all floors of the library and report all physical facility issues to the Access Services Librarian, clean the whiteboards, record the building temperatures, and periodically inspect the monitors on the Lower Level. TBL (Team Based Learning) duties include maintaining the TBL microphones and Rolling Monitors, reporting any microphone or monitor issues during routine inspections and active events, ensuring continuity of service for monitors across all floors, assisting in set-up/reset of floor space and equipment for TBL events, and any additional duties as required. The Student Library Assistant, Building Operations will report all issues and the results of their floor inspections to the Access Services Librarian in a timely manner. Other duties may be assigned, which can include providing backup staffing for the Information Services Desk and performing resources tasks as needed.
