NetID for Online Library Services

Posted in Alerts Services

Dahlgren Memorial Library [DML] is still the health sciences library for Georgetown University, but specifically for GUMC & MGUH.  We are starting our 2nd hundred years with 2013.
While DML is not part of the main campus Lauinger / Blommer Library, GUMC faculty, staff and students have access rights & privileges to BOTH libraries, including off campus access via a proxy server.

The requirement to use a NetID and password to access electronic resources at all GU libraries results from a process originated by UIS.
The target deadline was originally March but was recently moved up to Monday, 07 January 2013.
Working with Dean Jamie Padmore and Dean Diana Kassar, DML has determined that most GUMC & MGUH faculty, staff – including residents – and students already have an established NetID.
Most should not encounter difficulties with access to resources at DML, with DML’s Interlibrary loan / document delivery services, or with access to resources at Lauinger / Blommer on main campus.
