New CINAHL Enhancement: Plum Print

Plum Print, an article-level metrics widget has recently been added to the CINAHL Database (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature). These metrics help to measure the research impact of an article. If the metrics are available for an article the Plum print icon will appear for the citation on the search results screen. Mouse over the Plum Print icon to be taken to more information about:

  • Usage such as views and downloads
  • Captures such as bookmarks and favorites
  • Mentions such as Wikipedia entries and blogs
  • Social media such as Tweets and Facebook likes
  • Citations in PubMed and other select databases

The metrics in Plum Print are continuously updated and are provided for select articles published after 2013. Research performance metrics can also be found in other DML databases such as Web of Science and ESI Incites.
