Directions to the Library from Leavey Center
From the front of the Leavey Building (shuttle stop), walk west, toward the Conference Center entrance of the Leavey Center. Look for the Lombardi Cancer Center opposite the Conference Center. Take the paved walkway immediately to the left of the Lombardi Cancer Center entrance. You will pass a fish pond on your right. Continue across the service road and use the building entrance right in front of you. Continue to the end of the corridor, then turn left into the main hallway. The glass-enclosed entrance to the Library is a short distance down this main hallway on the left.

Other Shuttles
To reach Dahlgren Library , walk west of the bus stop between the Leavy Center and the Hospital. This walk will take you on an underpass. Once you are out from the underpass you will see the Marriott to your left (green awning) and the Lombardi Cancer Center to your right (blue awning). From Lombardi Cancer Center take a left onto the sidewalk that parallels the building - you will pass a bench and fishpond. The sidewalk will drop you on a service road. Straight across that road is the Preclinical Science Building in which the Library is housed.
Directions from Maryland:
- From I-270: take I-270 south toward Washington. Exit Rte. 355 Wisconsin Ave. south to Reservoir Rd. Turn right. Turn left at Entrance 1, just past 38th St. Parking cost is $25 per day.
- From I-95: take I-95 south to I-495 west to Silver Spring. Exit Rte. 355 Wisconsin Ave. south to Washington. Take Wisconsin Ave. south to Reservoir Rd. Turn right. Turn left at Entrance 1, just past 38th St. Parking cost is $25 per day.
- From Baltimore-Washington Parkway or Rte. 50 Westbound: take B-W Parkway or Rte. 50 west to New York Ave. Take New York Ave. to L St. Bear right. Turn left on 10th St. and then right on K St. Follow K St. to Whitehurst Freeway. Turn left onto Canal Rd. Stay in right lane. Bear right into campus. Take the second right (marked 'Visitor Parking') into the garage. Parking cost is $12 per day (cash only).
Take the elevator to the exit. Take a left as soon as you leave the building. You'll see a football field straight ahead. Walk up the hill to the left of this field. Go all the way to the top of this hill. You will see the Lombardi Cancer Center straight ahead. Go all the way to Lombardi and take a left onto the sidewalk that parallels the building - you'll pass a bench and fishpond. The sidewalk will drop you on a service road. Straight across that road is the Preclinical Science Building in which we are housed.
