Dahlgren Library acquires, organizes, and provides access to information services and resources in support of the mission of the University and the Medical Center, and consults and collaborates with GUMC faculty, staff, and students to integrate information resources and technologies into teaching, learning, research, patient care, and service.
Library Website Mission
The Dahlgren Memorial Library (DML) Web Team’s mission is to support and enhance the education, research, and clinical activities of students, faculty, researchers, and staff of the Georgetown Medical Center, Georgetown University, and Georgetown University Hospital. DML will maintain the website (http://www1.georgetown.edu/dml) and provide the University’s central biomedical/health sciences learning and research digital information. To this end, the DML Web Team will:
- Provide seamless and dynamic access to relevant and current biomedical/health sciences literature, resources, and services
- Ensure optimal user-friendly navigation and functionality based on tested web design principles and practices
- Promote awareness and use of library resources and services through the website
