FACS ITDD staff provide Blackboard support services, training and one-on-one consultations, for faculty. Contact Taeyeol Park.  

Use the Blackboard Help Request Form to create a course in Blackboard or to request help with a particular problem.  SOM Courses are added to Blackboard by request only.

Workshop: Blackboard, Part I - Basics

A broad introduction to Blackboard. Skills covered include configuring a course site, removing old course sites, copying course sites or items, posting announcements and course documents, linking external web sites, and managing users and course content.

Workshop: Blackboard, Part II - Adding PowerPoint, Graphics, Audio and Video

Hands-on training on how to add PowerPoint presentations and various media, including images, audio, and video clips into your Blackboard course site. Streaming audio/video and podcast via Blackboard using the GU media service will be introduced as well. Familiarity with Blackboard is recommended, but not required.

Workshop: Blackboard, Part III - Communication & Assessment

An exploration of the skills for using discussion board, dispensing assignments, creating and deploying quizzes or exams integrated with the course gradebook, the Grade Center, and analyzing and managing students' test results and grades.
