Workshops are open to faculty and staff of Georgetown University. All classes are taught in the the Faculty and Curriculum Support (FACS) Center Computer Lab (GM-6) in Preclinical Science Building. Workshop: Blackboard, Part I - Course Management Basics

Introduction to Blackboard, online course management system. Hands-on training on how to set up and manage your course site – post class announcements and documents, add or remove users, copy courses, and link external web sites. Course size is limited to 5.

Workshop: Blackboard, Part II - Adding PowerPoint, Graphics, Audio and Video

Hands-on training on how to add PowerPoint presentations and various media, including images, audio, and video clips into your Blackboard course site. Familiarity with Blackboard is recommended, but not required. Course size is limited to 5.

Workshop: Blackboard, Part III - Communication and Assessment

Learn how to utilize email, discussion boards, and student groups in Blackboard, how to create your own quizzes and surveys that students complete online, and how to manage students' grades. Course size is limited to 5.
