Workshops are open to faculty and staff of Georgetown University. All classes are taught in the the Faculty and Curriculum Support (FACS) Center Computer Lab (GM-6) in Preclinical Science Building. Contact Taeyeol Park with any questions.

Workshop: Blackboard, Part I - Basics

A broad introduction to Blackboard for faculty who are new to Blackboard. Skills covered include configuring a course site, posting content, managing users and course content, and linking external web sites. Several features will be explored in more depth in other workshops.

Workshop: Blackboard, Part II - Adding PowerPoint, Graphics, Audio and Video

Hands-on training on how to add PowerPoint presentations and various media, including images, audio, and video clips into your Blackboard course site. Familiarity with Blackboard is recommended, but not required.

Workshop: Blackboard, Part III - Communication & Assessment

An introduction to the discussion board and built-in email including group creation and management. An exploration of the skills for dispensing assignments, creating and deploying quizzes or exams integrated with the course gradebook, newly named the Grade Center in Blackboard 8, and analyzing and managing students' test results and grades.
