RefWorks
RefWorks, a web-based citation management tool, has recently been acquired by Georgetown Libraries. Simplify your bibliographies by importing references and quickly formatting into the style you need! In addition to providing information on importing references and formatting bibliographies, we will also cover PDF attachment and RefShare. Anyone currently using EndNote will be able to easily transfer references!*Workshop size: limited to 10 participants

PubMed MEDLINE
As a service to those involved in health care, the National Library of Medicine provides PubMed as a free research tool for all users. Whether you are completely new to PubMed or have used it in the past, this course will provide you with practical instruction on the following topics: basic searching, applying limits, understanding MeSH (Medical Subject Headings), using Clinical Queries, customizing My NCBI, and accessing biomedical books. *Workshop size: limited to 10 participants

OvidSP: The New MEDLINE Interface
OvidSP, the new Ovid search interface, employs all of the sophisticated functionality of the current Ovid Gateway while incorporating new and enhanced features and tools to give you a simplified, streamlined search experience. Ovid provides access to some of the most essential health sciences databases, including MEDLINE, PsychINFO, CINAHL, AARP Ageline, and EBM Reviews. In this course, we will first explore Ovid Medline’s search options: Advanced Searching, using Limits, understanding Subject Headings, combining searches, and employing the Search Tools. Any additional class time can be spent introducing users to additional databases and ebooks offered through Ovid. *Workshop size: limited to 10 participants

Navigate through Journal Finder like an expert. Interpret your results and locate full-text within a few clicks. The Library may not own everything, so enhance your full-text searching skills with the Washington Research Libraries Consortium (WRLC), the premier electronic resource-sharing consortium in the Washington Metropolitan area.
